CareMeet Privacy Policy

CareMeet helps families, caregivers, facilities, and service partners coordinate eldercare search, onboarding, profile verification, care matching, remote services, and account workflows. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to users.

Information We Collect

We collect information users provide when creating or updating an account, including name, email address, phone number, profile type, location, service area, care preferences, caregiver credentials, facility details, uploaded file names, onboarding answers, care notes, booking requests, and verification review information.

If a user connects Google Calendar, CareMeet requests only the calendar access needed to check availability and create care-related events selected through CareMeet workflows on calendars the user owns.

How We Use Information

To create and manage CareMeet accounts and dashboards.
To support care matching, provider introductions, family workspace tasks, care plans, and remote service workflows.
To verify caregiver and facility submissions before publishing profiles.
To send account, security, verification, scheduling, and care coordination notifications.
To improve reliability, safety, fraud prevention, and product quality.

Google User Data

CareMeet uses Google user data only to provide user-requested calendar connection features. CareMeet does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to unrelated third parties. Calendar data is used only to check availability, support care scheduling, create minimum-necessary reminders, and perform user-authorized calendar actions.

SMS And Phone Verification

If SMS is enabled, CareMeet uses phone numbers only to send user-requested verification codes, security messages, and transactional account notices. CareMeet does not sell phone numbers or use SMS for advertising. SMS messages should not include care needs, diagnoses, medications, uploaded document names, provider handoff details, or other sensitive health information.

Sharing

CareMeet shares information only when needed to provide the service, such as routing a consented provider introduction, showing a verified caregiver or facility profile, supporting secure upload storage, sending notifications, or complying with legal obligations. Families review and consent before sensitive care summaries are shared with a provider.

Security

CareMeet uses access controls, encryption at rest where supported by the platform, secure transport, private upload storage, audit-oriented workflows, and least-privilege service access. CareMeet is designed to support HIPAA-ready workflows, but customers should confirm required agreements and operational controls before transmitting protected health information.

Data Retention

CareMeet keeps account and care coordination records as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain audit records, and support safety and verification workflows. Users may request correction, export, or deletion subject to legal and operational requirements.

User Choices

Users can update account details, disconnect integrations, request account changes, and contact CareMeet about privacy requests. Google Calendar access can be disconnected from the CareMeet account controls or from the user's Google Account permissions page.
